Goddard Consultants Coaching Practice Any fact facing us is not as important as our attitude toward it, for that determines our success or failure. The way you think about a fact may defeat you before you ever do anything about it. You are overcome by the fact because you think you are. - Zig Ziglar

Coaching for Young People

Citizenship, Community Safety, Crime Prevention, Respect, Educational Achievement, Employability

MAGIC - Motivation, Assertiveness, Goal achievement, Initiative and Confident communication for young people.

The vision and purpose of MAGIC

We are passionate about equal opportunities and the personal development of all young people. The MAGIC programme can make a difference to all young people of all academic ability. MAGIC can make a real difference to young people who are excluded from society or who do not have the advantages and benefits of others. After participating in the MAGIC programme young people can go on to have a positive impact on their community - through peer groups, friends..

The coaching approach

MAGIC courses are facilitated as opposed to being taught. Coaching is non-directive and non-judgmental. As with adults, coaching gives young people a safe place to explore their choices and realise their potential.

Your MAGIC coach / facilitator will adapt the course to suit the needs of participants and to reflect the outcomes of activities they undertake. The course is highly interactive, using visual, auditory and kinaesthetic methods to enable participants to explore their skills, realise their potential and motivate themselves to success. The course includes role playing, individual tasks, practical and group activities, in a fun and safe environment.

Specialist training of the MAGIC coach

Your MAGIC coach / facilitator actively pursues Continual Professional Development. Your coach has also undertaken additional specialist training, including awareness of legal, ethical, and moral obligations in working with young people.

MAGIC benefits young people in a wide range of settings:
Schools and 6th Form
e2e Schemes
College and University
Aim higher and widening participation
Youth Inclusion Programmes

The MAGIC programme is owned by the Coaching Academy UK Ltd - the international leader in coaching and mentoring courses. MAGIC facilitators are qualified coaches and adhere to the practice and guidance for responsible adults working with young people.
